Umoja Clean Water Foundation, based in Uganda, is a small NGO focused on providing water to communities in need.
What started as a grassroots project in 2021, supported by local fundraising of $26K in the USA and England, has led to a larger movement due to increased demand. Thus far, we have built 20 wells and repaired 14 existing wells, which have provided water to over 3500 villagers in the Eastern Uganda region.
We always seek different ways to support the community through food, clothing, and accessible water. Your donations and continued support have allowed us to succeed with our mission, thank you for being united (Umoja) with us in ensuring that water, a basic necessity, is accessible to everyone.

Anwar Shah
Anwar Shah
CEO/Founder
Born in Jinja, UG and raised in the UK, Anwar founded UCWF in 2021, after a visit back to his hometown in Uganda. Anwar oversees well digging operations and the disbursement of aid.
Musa Muloki
Musa Muloki
Project Manager
Born in Pallisa, UG, Musa locates villages in need of water and identifies families/widows in need. He also coordinates the well digging operations.
Rayyana Shah
Rayyana Shah
Communications Manager
Part of the remote team, Rayyana manages digital fundraising, internal/external communications and social media channels for UCWF.
